Typography with Heart: Tyfanie
As a web designer, I’m always on the lookout for fonts that bring personality and visual interest to digital projects. Tyfanie, a soft hand-lettered script from Script Amp, has quickly become one of my go-to choices for adding a touch of warmth and charm to website layouts. Its playful rounded characters make it ideal for creative headers, hero sections, and branded elements that need to stand out without overwhelming the design.
A Font That Feels Personal
Tyfanie has a unique character that feels like it was written by hand, which makes it perfect for digital designs that aim to feel authentic and approachable. The subtle swashes and gentle curves give it a friendly, inviting vibe that works well in branding, marketing, and user-facing content. Whether it’s a landing page headline or a call-to-action button, Tyfanie adds a sense of personality that other more rigid fonts often lack.

For a coaching website I designed, Tyfanie added a personal touch to the homepage title and key service sections. Considerations for Web Use
While Tyfanie is excellent for display purposes, it’s not the best choice for long paragraphs of body text. Its flowing style can make dense blocks of text harder to scan, especially on smaller screens. For this reason, I recommend pairing it with a clean, readable sans serif or serif font for any extended content.
Another thing to keep in mind is accessibility. Tyfanie may not be the best option for navigation menus, form labels, or other interface elements that require high readability. However, when used strategically in headlines, banners, and decorative accents, it can enhance the overall user experience without compromising usability.
Font Pairing and Branding
When working on a digital brand kit, I found that Tyfanie pairs exceptionally well with modern sans serif fonts. This combination creates a balanced look that’s both stylish and functional. For editorial-style websites or blogs, pairing it with a classic serif font can add a timeless elegance to the design.
